Tracking the 2011 quilt

Quiltinusa leaves for new adventures American on the track of the quilt forever, but this year we will go from one museum to another across the states of Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Vermont.




Intercourse, PA: The People's Place Quilt Museum, nestled above the quilt shop the Old Country Store




Lancaster, PA: The Quilt & Textile Museum with the temporary exhibition 2011 "Studying Amish Style in a Whole New Light" (Amish style in a new light)


and The Heritage Center Museum, located in the old town hall in Lancaster and houses collections of objects and furniture of Lancaster County.




Bedford, PA: The National Museum of the American Coverlet , Museum of American bedspread.




Nearby Bedford, we meet the artist Barbara Carroll specializes in rug hooking (weaving strips of wool), and has very kindly agreed to open our doors his studio The Woolley Fox .





Stockbridge, MA: Th e Norman Rockwell Museum, which includes all the works of famous American painter and illustrator Norman Rockwell.










Pittsfield, MA: T he Hancock Shaker Village , or daily life of the Shakers in their village.






Shelburne, VT: The Shelburne Museum and its extraordinary Museum of the quilt.

We will discover the American campaign at the time of dogwoods (Cornus) in flower, after a winter that still captures the moment the states of the East Coast in snow and ice.
